
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actress. She became famous for her role in the film Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after doing a handful of roles on TV. She has been featured in Memento (2000) in which she was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female. Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006) for which she won the Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Disturbia (2007), Unthinkable (2010), Silent Hill: Revelation (2012), and Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent television series. She also played Jeri Hogarth. Moss was living in Spain when she was offered the part of Tara, Judge Nicholas Marshall's clerk in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first television appearance. In 1992, she moved to the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss quit Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn who played Samantha Collins. Following her return, she enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. In Pasadena she worked as modeling, and later starred in Fox's soap opera of the same name Models Inc. The show ended in July of 1995. show was removed from the air. Matrix was a brief-lived made in Canada series. She was a regular guest on television shows that included Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. Three years later, she received an Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest Actress in Drama. The majority of her roles in films in the decade were B films, such as Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) as well as The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
